expert staff ghost data?

so I read some FAQs and I want to unlock some stuff (mainly baby luigi) but it says you have to unlock how ever many expert staff ghost data. anyone know what to do?

At the bottom of this site, it shows basically what times you need to beat to unlock the expert ghosts.

Not all are correct, and it can be insane trying to unlock them. My advice is to think very carefully about where to use the mushrooms, and only use one each lap. Also, download other people's ghosts if you;re really stuck. (I've managed to unlock them all, and got the second Mii costume). Good luck.

All you have to do is beat 8 Default Nintendo Ghosts on Time Trials. It's Fairly Easy.

beating a default ghost doesnt always unlock the expert staff ghost. you have to do significantly better that the default.

how do you know if it is the expert one or not? is there a star next to it?

You really don't know if its expert, just look up what all the times are for the expert/default ones.

I found it a TON easier to beat them using automatic than trying to beat them using manual. Just a large car with a high speed(accelaration doesn't matter as you will usually be going top speed), and also use the mushrooms carefully for shortcuts.

Manual is better and use a bike.

My advice would be to go onto the Mario Kart channel(Presuming you have wireless). Now this is how i do it.
Find a track you would like to do(best to aim for more simple tracks)
Download the World Champion's ghost data for that track.
Watch the replay once, take close note of which Bike/Car he is using, if you don't have it get as close as you can statistic wise. Also watch carefully of where he uses his three mushrooms.
Next, race him. Try to make it as clean as possible, and to follow him/her as closely as you can. It is still likely you will be a long way behind them at the finish line, but for me 1 or 2 tries is normally sufficient to unlock expert staff data. Took me about 40 mins to unlock all the experts needed for Baby Luigi

if i can just beat some of the nintendo staff i will be happy as bowsers castle n64 and sherbet land n64 are my only 2 good tracks.

The expert staff ghost has a musical note symbol after the name.
