It's one of those games where you whoop its ass in under 20hours and then it sits on the shelf for a year or two and then you might play it through again down the road.

Theres not much replay value, although you can beat the game with just 60 stars and then you can try to get the other 60 and play as Luigi. I've gone back to it a few times because the planets and galaxy's look amazing and its quite fun.
In a way, yes, yet in another way, no. To beat the actual game itself, that should only take a few hours. However, you can get much more than the 60 stars required, 120 overall. Then you replay the game with Luigi. Either way, SMG is a must have for any Wii owner.

eh, it really depends. i thought i wouldn't be able to put it down after i bought it, which was only partially true. i flew through the game in less than a week, and soon lost interest in obtaining the other stars...
it was fun (REALLY fun) while it lasted, but it just seemed on the easy side, and it wasn't nearly as long as i thought it would be.
that being said, if you're a wii owner, this game is still a must have. 50 bucks is a small price to pay for the greatest 3d platformer in the history of man.

This is pretty much spot on. There's really not a whole lot of reason to go through it twice. Sure there is *something*, but the game is still exactly the same.
It's still an excellent, excellent game and every Wii owner must play it. I traded it in for Mario Kart as I had already finished it. Though, I could see myself buying it again down the road when it's under $20.
I played it on my sisters Wii when I visited my parents in Brisbane for a week. I loved it, managed to pass it on my holiday but only 60 or so stars. I could see myself maxing it out and getting my $100 worth out of the game for sure, as with any mario game there are alot of things to do.
I don't own the game but I might still buy it (Mum bought me a Wii because she loved my sisters so much haha).
I'd defeniatly recommend it, although at first it makes you a bit seas-sick and confuzed but you get used to it.
I don't think so. Hell, I bought it when I first got my Wii, got about 40 stars, and have moved onto other games without even finishing it.
Same here.
But why does a game have to have good replay value in order for it to be a good game? If it's a good game, then it's a good game (and it is a good game).

If you want to play a game more than once, then play it more than once.
It's still going to be the exact same game that you played before.
