8:00 p.m. U.K. thats 3:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. right?
I've played online a bit now and I'd like to enter.
My MK name is exactly the same as my Wiichat name and my FC is in my sig.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I added your FC, I'm ready then. Now I guess we just have to wait a long time. Hopefully we get 12 people.

I have a request: can we have no items at all or simple items? (you can change that right?) The items are really pissing me off when I play online. . . if no one else wants to do this thats fine, but if others who join would also like to have simple/no items I think we should do it.

Pfft, Mario kart wii tournament? What a joke. The game puts no value on skill, it's entirely based on how lucky you are with the items you get.
Anyone who's played the single player knows just how much of a lovely experience getting blue shelled at the last second and getting 7th place is. Most of the items can't be defended against at all, and some of them even destroy the items you currently have (for reasons that can't be anything beyond absolute retardation).
If it were more like Mario Strikers where you only get a minor advantage for using items, that'd be freaking awesome. But Nintendo has never heard of the word "balanced".

"All it takes is OPTIONS, Nintendo. If a gamer doesn't want to see that they're ranked 80,000th, then give them the option to simply turn off rankings. I doubt you will come back to this thread and read this because flammers usually don't but:
If you read what Jake wrote then you would see that he asked for no items. Jeez relax if you don't wanna join then don't.
I might join, I haven't played MKW in a while so I'll have to brush up on my skills but I'll try anyway. I'll come back and edit this with my MKW FC.
