I just got the game on Sunday and it rocks!!! Smooth-as-silk and much better than Double-Dash.

I think it is equal if not better than the N64/SNES versions.

And the graphics do not suck!

That "dummy" thing was weird.

The game is an advancement from the DS version. Double Dash is something completly differnent(cept i miss the speicalised wepons )

It may be smooth but wait till you start doing the 150cc/mirror mode. That's when a good win(with skill) requires luck of even wepons.

its simply an unfair game. there is just too much to try to avoid and you get screwed over so often that its ridiculous. you try to go through the pack and are hit with item after item after item after item. then you are stuck in last and there is absolutely nothing you can do. then you lose HUNDREDS of vr points in a race that you cant win. admit it. there are times when you finish awful and you raced really well. its a fun game if luck is on your side, but i suspect many a wii mote will be thrown against a wall in frustration. a skilled player will find themselves very frustrated with this game.

I have loved the Mario Kart games since the very first one on SNES. That will always be the best one for me too. I had Double Dash too, but I saw it as a completely different game. I definitely like the Wii version better than Double Dash.
