will a decent NHL come out on the wii?

They could really take advantage of the Wii motion controls for a hockey game. Shooting, juking, and even fighting.

I feel the same way, the one thing the Wii is really missing right now is serious sports games. I'm waiting for NHL09 and MLB09, from EA, for the Wii. NHL08 has done great last year on other systems and I remember the MLB game for the GC was really good. Hopefully Madden09 online play will be much improved

Well being Canadian myself I want an NHL Game on Wii desperately, at least try it out with 09 and see how it works. We've had all the other sports, like NBA, Soccer etc. we want hockey now.

I wouldnt buy it, but I have to admit that I really do want to play it. It's not like the NHL games are EA's most high budget titles. I think they can afford it...

EA Sports is making NCAA Football 09 for the Wii which was a surprise to me. I will be pretty surprised if NHL 09 isn't available for the Wii. We already have Madden, NBA Live, FIFA, and will have NCAA Football.
