The Tiger Woods 09 Official Website is up, and the features list for each version is also up. I'm very excited to see online will be included this year for the Wii version. That definitely makes this one a must have for me anyway.

Online play sounds really sweet. I've never purchased a Tiger Woods game before, but this sounds like it might be worth it.

Good to see it has a completely different feature set from the PS2 for once, too.

I keep telling myself to wait for 09 instead of getting 08 now and I think this just made me say that for sure it's a rock solid wait on the 09 version.

Sweet I might get the 09 version. I held off on the previous two, and just play the 08 DS version, which has online play.

A friend got me hooked on tiger woods years ago on the PS2. Great stuff. The ds versions and visits to my friend's house have fulfilled my fixes so far.

We've had 08 for a while, its awsome and I highly doubt they'd be making a lower quality version in 09... Online play, GREAT NEWS

That's what I was looking for. I guess my brother and I will be getting '09. Now we just need to convince our Dad to get a Wii and '09 and we'll have a 3 state round of golf.

I'm happy to see a solid reaction. Hopefully when it releases, there will be a lot of people online to play with. The online play sounds pretty fun, but we will have to wait and see if it lives up to the hype. It's all about the smoothness.

I was just about to buy TW 08, but then I heard about this one. I'll probably get it on release day because I really need a good golf game.

About time they got Tiger Woods online.

I won't be buying it though as We Love Golf comes out July 1st and that'll be the first Wii golf game with online play. Plus it'll be a lot better than the tired Tiger Woods games as Capcom don't disapoint like EA do.

Sounds good to me. I've only played the golf game on Wii Sports and would love something bigger and better. Can't wait for it to come out.

Yeah but... the PS3 controls are NOTHING like (read: nowhere near as good as) the Wii controls. Do you want to swing a golf club, or mash some well-timed buttons?

analogs sticks. Not saying it's better just correcting you.

Can't wait for this! But I really can't decide which to get it for. (Wii or PS3) If only they had an amazing graphic tiger woods game with a golf club attachment.

Get 'We Love Golf'. It comes out before Tiger Woods 09, will have online play, better controls and better gameplay. It's more of a cartoon look than Tiger Woods (as it features Capcom characters such as Chun Li and Zack) so if you like more vibrant looking games then it's the one to get. It is being touted in all previews as the best golf game on Wii period.

My guess is that We Love Golf will score an average of between 8/10 and 9/10 in reviews. Tiger Woods 09 will get 7/10 at best.

Both games haven't come out yet. You have no idea how each is gonna be. As last time I checked the swing mechanics for Tiger Woods 08 was pretty decent.

Well i can guess that Tiger Woods will be pretty much the same as last years game as there was little difference between 06, 07 and 08. If you look at the companies releasing these games it should be quite obvious how they will turn out. Capcom releases quality games continually on Wii, EA releases games that are pretty much the same as the previous years version except for the 07, 08 or 09 on the box.

This is why the Wii gets shoddy ports and no effort games, because people still lap them up year after year while ignoring the decent games. Go ahead and ignore We Love Golf and buy Tiger Woods 09 at your peril. I'll bet the farm on Capcom's title getting better reviews and being the better game though.

I have no idea where this is coming from because the swing mechanics were pretty damn good in Tiger Woods 08. The 07 version was a piss-poor effort, but last year's was very solid. I could use my real-life swing and have the results come out just fine. Are you one of those people who played 07 and then made uninformed decisions and comments about the 08 version? It seems that way because your statement above doesn't have much validity.

As for me, it will be Tiger Woods 09 all the way. I'd rather play as PGA Tour professionals on real PGA Tour courses than cartoony characters any day. I'm sure I'll rent the other game, but I'll be buying Tiger for sure.

Also, since when does reviews really mean anything? They have probably been wrong just as much if not more than they have been right. Reviews over VERY overrated.
