Avoiding Items-MarioKart
Does anyone have any helpful tips in avoiding items such as Blue Spike Shell, POW?
I know how to avoid the green and red shells with either bananas or other shells but those blue spike shells are killin me!
Any advice would be great!
Thanks,

Drive off a cliff just before it hits you - works like a charm.

avoid a pow block by going airborne.
avoid a blue shell by boosting just before impact (mushroom, boost panel, or drifting).

PFFT~
There is no way to really avoid a POW block but there is a way to make it not slow you down as much.
Press Up on the D-Pad before the last "POW" and you will notice the difference. This goes for both Karts and bikes.....
BLUE SHELL!? Can't avoid it really but if their are racers close behind you SLAM on dem Brakes!!! You will also hit them with the blue shell's blast radius.
That's all the secrets i got for you. lol
