Just how bad is the response time in Deca Sports?

Hey all,

I have a $30 in credit at a game store, and can get Deca Sports for free. However, I have recently heard horror stories on the controls and, more importantly, the response time with this game.

I don't want to waste my credit on a game that has slow or lagging response time.

How does the game (badminton, voleyball, etc) compare to the responsiveness of, say, Wii Sports Tennis?

Anyone have a video, or want to make a video, showing the remote and the game at the same time? That way I can judge the responsiveness with my own eyes...

Thanks,

Matt!

Response time is definitely an issue with most of the games, particularly volleyball and badminton. You have to swing, jump a hals second before it feels like you would need to.

Curling is really tough to get started as you have to push the wiimote forward and release the B button at exactly the right time, or else you just wind up back in the standing position. Forget trying to release at the target strength.

Basketball isn't too bad once you figure out how to shoot a layup - but thats also a roll of the dice like curling. I haven't tried soccer at all.

Figure skating is decent, but the scoring system is strange, and its get old really quick when all you do is swing the wiimote to perform every trick.

OTOH, I find archery, snowboarding, and the racing games to be pretty responsive to your controls. But these are also very simplistic movements compared to other games featuring these sports.
