i refuse to get my hopes up for COD5 until online multiplayer is announced.

Guys you are saying that these two games will be just like all the other FPS out there and you are probably right. But what you don't understand is that most Wii owners don't own multiple consoles, so this is all we know and care about.

So since this console is all we really care about we take offense when someone tries to insult the only games we are getting. Because we don't have anything to go back to; you guys can go back to Halo and MGS but we can't. You guys have a great selection of games so you can base your opinions on all three consoles, which is why it is just another FPS to multiple console owners.
But to the people who are stuck with only the Wii we don't have that selection, so yes any FPS is welcome, any game with any promise is welcome.
So please next time realize this before you start calling us Wii owners "retards".

lol bruce, the game is still exactly the same. Just more uglier because it becomes stretched out :/

Ive played on a 24 inch, 26 inch widescreen and a 55 inch at this beach house (we get to stay for the weekends if we paint it). The games still play the same, it's just bigger.

Wii mote does not enhance fps, it's just another way of playing it, just like someone who plays PC games and likes using a keyboard and mouse.

I realize that and im not knockin you for wanting the Conduit to succeed. Hell if all I had was a Wii then I would too. But im saying as a GAMER (I have all 3 consoles) the game is extremely lacking and looks just like anything else. Im just saying, don't act like the Wii somehow makes it better just because it barely has any FPS games and because it uses a Wii mote because it doesn't.

lol jeeze you guys take offense to that without even understanding the situation on when id think someone is retarded. whos fault though is it for owning just a wii? why not sell it (still good money on ebay) and buy a ps3/360? why settle for the lesser when you dont have to?

Yes you are right just because it is for the Wii doesn't mean it gets any extra points. But we don't know for certain yet if it has a shot of being up there with Halo 3, we have just been making speculations.

i was talking about competitive play, thats what people arent understanding.

i know, lesser makes it sound bleh, but you were down talking the wii about what you dont have and such, so i was just using some words i felt were appropriate for your situation. what im saying is why would you stick with a console you have such large complaints about?

I understand completely and I'm sure the same goes for T3kNi9e and Sovieto. We were only bashing the game for being generic, not because it was a Wii-exclusive FPS. Earlier in the thread, I was trying to give you a view of The Conduit from a PS3/360 owner's view. I also specifically said that I was not trying to discourage anyone purchasing the game.

Okay, since graphics is a big deal to you, I would recommend you to buy a big screen tv if you don't have one yet, when the 360/PS3 copies the wiimote pointer, get used to it after a few HOURS not just try it, and then let me know what you think.

I can see how they thought that we were talking about CoD5 and The Conduit about how they would be great for the whole world of gaming not just the Wii, seeing as how these games are Wii Games (the ones we were originally supposed to talk about i.e. COD5 for the Wii), and how this topic is in the Nintendo Wii Forum Section, and how this is a Wii forum and all.

um yeah maybe you are understanding but not teknige. in my first "rant" post, i said that ps3/360 owners shouldnt criticize the wii games as soon as something comes up and then teknige comes up and blows it out of proportions. he says that i am saying that wii controls make a fps special. when i tell him to find examples of such, he brings up quotes that say that fps are special on wii because we dont have many. tell me, how is that not misunderstanding?

First of all, for me, graphics are not the most important factor in a game, don't assume that I think that. All I was saying is that if you want the best experience (graphics-wise) for the Wii, you should opt for a smaller TV.

Secondly, I did not just try the Wii Remote/Zapper for a few hours, I went at it for a few days and honestly saw no success.

Cut back on the assumptions.

i can tell you what happens. its fun for the first 30 minutes then you forget youre even playing with the pointer and its as though youre using any other set up. when you go back to the 360/ps3 controller it will feel awkward for the first 30 minutes, then you forgot youre even using that controller and its as though youre using any other set up.

honestly, a good game will immerse you beyond the point of thinking how much fun controlling a game is. thats why games like wii sports and carnival games are successes, because the game isnt deep enough to immerse you into forgetting about how youre playing it.
