We have it...not the most complex game out there, but not super-simple easy, either. We got it with our 5-year-old in mind - something that she could play without getting frustrated - but my husband and I play it as well. There are quite a few mini games on there, and true to the name, they're games that you would find at a local fair or carnival - ring toss, shoot-the-duck, throw the ball at the milk bottles, etc. There is a wide range of Wiimote movements...not just pushing the buttons.
Overall, I like it. But then again, I'm not a super gamer...I could see that super gamers wouldn't like it.

If you take on the task of trying to unlock all of the accessories, it is very challenging and time-consuming. Overall, it is a good time, especially playing with other people.

I have it, and it's still my favorite game! Challenging enough, without being frustrating, but not boring.

Carinval games has gotten a lot of hours of use at my house. My 4 year old loves the game and it is fun in multiplayer mode. Some of the games you play conccurently and others are played one at a time.
I do not think it is a great game in single player mode only because some of the games are just freustating and not fun. The coin toss on a plate seems to be luck. The strong man game is annoying.
However, about 75% of the games are fun and it is well worth the purchase if if you have at least two people who will play the game. It does have unlockables and you can also try to win the jumbo prize at every ganme.

Super game - buy it!
One hint though!!
In the coin pusher game, the first time you go into it you will see and orange coin in the piles. Make sure you get that orange coin the first time, or you will never get the secret prize from that game!! It has a glitch where if you don't get it the first time, you will never see it again!!!
So make sure you have tons of tickets before tyou play it.

It has sold a lot more than that now. The game isnt for everyone but it captures the appeal for the carnival from graphics to cheezy prices.
The game has been succesful due to word of mouth and the fact that it is simlpy designed to be fun especially in multiplayer mode.
