I just got my Wii, so I haven't played too many games yet.

I do have Red Steel, and I heard how it's ok, so I'm not holding it as high appeal, but I'm curious, do the other FPS have the same controls (FPS wise)? I feel as though Red Steel is a bit...I don't know, it just doesn't feel right. I played around with the controls and sensitivity, but it just didn't feel that well.

Am I the only one, and are all the other FPS built the same?

well if you mean point at the screen and shoot, ya they are basicly the same, cod3 and moh pointing and shooting wise feel the same to me, but moh has a little more inovation then cod3, like more motion actions and wii zapper capability, metroid prime 3 is another fps on the wii, but this one is done perfectly, this is by far the best fps on the wii so if your looking for a good fps experience, you should deffinetly pick this up

but the controls for shooting for those 3 games are very awkward at first when you play an fps on the wii, but you start getting the hand of it

i know what you mean when you say it doesnt feel right, but it'll get to be second nature eventually

Thanks Zap, that's what I needed to hear. I'm used to 360 and Halo, so I guess it's just the whole Wii controls and stuff. XD

Metroid 3 controls take about 3 seconds to get used, they were done quite well. Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 had good controls as well.

all right allright

dont judge the wiis ability to play fpss from red steel.
to progress, first get cod3, then moh vanguard, then mp3 and then mohh2. with each steps, the controls begin to feel better and better. its kinda like stages of climax.

or you could just get mp3 for great art direction and single player and mohh2 for online as well as controls. sell red steel if you just want an engaging fps experience.

2 of the games I most enjoyed on the Wii Were Prime 3 and Resi Evil 4 despite owning Resi evil 4 on the gamecube I found the Wii remote highly enjoyable and would say go get it!

when i got my Wii the first FPS game i rented was Red Steel. i was so dissappointed in the controls cause they were touchy and hard but you do eventually get used to them and a few missions in i liked them.

Everything I've read says that they are getting better with the controls, but I want 4 person split screen offline combat. I wish the FPS developers wouldn't put all their focus on online gaming. My friends and I have such fond memories of cramming into a dorm room to play golden eye.

I just picked up a copy of Vanguard and I'm trying to get used to the controls. I'm avoiding MOHH2 for now, as I just beat it on my PSP.

Red Steel is a bad example of the control capabilities on the Wii. But it does have somewhat of an excuse since it was the first FPS title on the Wii.

I own both Metroid Prime 3 and Medal of Honor Heroes 2, and both of them have solid controls. Whats good about Medal of Honor is that you can customize your controls to fit your liking.

i think call of dtuy 3 came out on release aswell, if not then really close to it, red steel had no excuse, cod3 had good controls, there was no reason why red steel shouldnt of either

Red Steel came out no-so-good because Ubisoft rushed it to make it a release title. It could've been better if they spent more time on it.

There were only a few things wrong with redsteel. First of all there was only a dot on screen to tell you what you are aiming at. The controls for the sword were terrible. I didnt see much wrong with the aiming though. Overall it was a decent unpolished game.

Yeah redsteel is good. It's not perfect and far from an epic game. The controls are a bit too weird to me, but they feel better after you engage more into it.
It is fun though and I'll pick it up again once I beat more games or feel like playing a FPS. I may pick up MOHH2 for my online FPS fix. :P
