another question: there is a sign that talks about planting different flowers next to each other and they cross pollinate. what does this do? how do you know it is working? any tips on it? thanks

I'm so late, but the game looks great and I want to find out as much as I can. I might get it for Christmas.

The online feature looks phenomenal. If this goes well then Nintendo will have quite a bit to brag about. Let's pray to the gods that it's not a Brawl lagfest all over again...

Not to be pessimistic.

I've got a question. If you don't have any friends, is there a with-anyone mode? I'll be exchanging codes, I'm sure, but they won't be on all the time.

The interface looks great as well. Finally, an entertaining and laid-back game. At first I thought the combination was impossible. It doesn't look like the game has an ending, so to speak. You just keep playing and playing and playing.

There's clearly a lot to look forward to in this game, and I'm sure it'll be great when I get it. And WiiSpeak should be great too. But I'm sure there'll always be some dude who has the nerve to run around on a worldwide online game and scream profanely. *cough* Or does it have profanity blocks?

Okay, its been hard for me to get some animal crossing buddies, I play kinda late. I swapped the time in my town to where night is day and day is night. I usually jus stay up and game after my gf goes to bed. So I need some friends who wanna visit, that play any time from about 9pm to 3am.

Anybody up for some late night visits?

You must mean with the Wii Speak, but yes. You can. Only if have them on your friends list you have them visit your town, I think.

Does anybody have any Cabana furniture? I'm trying to complete the set. I promise to reward you with money!

I mean with people you've never added to your friends list.

No, I doubt it. I haven't tried the Wii Speak, but I'm pretty sure you can't. You need someone's friend code to go to their town. You can't go to someone's town without knowing them and therefore you can't talk to them.

I can't remember for sure, but I think he gives more than one package of seeds to plant. Are you sure you planted everything he gave you? Check your pockets to be sure.

Most people are using USB keyboards for chatting. Some hosts even specifically say "NO WiiSpeak" in their town comments.

Most of this indifference is due to the fact that Wiispeak is a ROOM MIC, and as such, allows a lot of background noise and distractions to enter the chat room.

Most players do not want to hear all that racket. I sure don't.

A headset would have been the way to go, but even then... real voices in this game kind of ruins the immersion factor of this little cartoon town.

This just lets new flowers grow that you can't buy from Nook. I've managed to grow a pink tulip and an orange pansy. There is a huge variety of cross-bred flowers you can grow. The main thing that this allows for is rare bugs to be more easily found.

Main tip...just plant like flowers next to eachother ie: tulips with tulips, roses w/ roses, etc...

You'll know it's working when you see the new flower!

Yup. Also, move your furniture because they hide underneath it; if you don't, the cockroaches will just reappear when you exit and come back into your house. Make sure to squish 'em all.
