I really cant answer that. When I first heard about it when it originaly came out on the gamecube, I thought it was a retarded idea and that it would fail horribly. But when I actually played it I instantly became addicted to it. It's just really fun.

AC was the reason I bought a Wii.
Once the game was announced, I started looking for a Wii.
If I want the "so called" MATURE type games, I turn to my XBOX 360.
Nintendo games are kiddy by nature. That is the whole appeal for me and all of my core gaming friends. They are a nice departure from all the FPS and hard core games on the other systems.
I find it amusing that anyone who owns a Wii would be complaining about anything for the system being "KIDDY". lol!
That just doesn't make any sense to me.

I've always called my town Midgar...
And I'm not even a big fan of FF7. i just like the name...
AC:WW was Midgar Jr.
My brother caught on and called his town Spira, even though he wasn't a big fan of FF10.
Damn FF's and their occasionally intriguing city/world names.

The graphics on this game look like n64 imo. I know the game's hugely popular, i just never knew why.......what in animal crossing makes it enjoyable?

Amazon.ca is having its pre-order of the Animal Crossing for the Wii now:

But Wii Speak is sold separately, no bundle for the 2:

From what I read, Wii Speak is an accessory sold specifically (at least, until new games come with a use for it) for Animal Crossing. Should a bundle become available at a cheaper price or is it the way it will be?

As far as online play... You can visit the towns of other players even when they are not playing if they have the 24/7 option internet connection engaged. Just need their codes.
You can also hook up with other players online and play together in the same town using the Wi-Fi connection of the Wii.

CORRECTION: Most "Teens" dismiss the game, thinking AC is stupid and kiddie without ever playing it.
Adult gamers tend to be more open minded about the look/style of a game and most Nintendo fans over 25 that I know really enjoy the franchise as do the under 12 crowd.

i think more off everthing and an updated look would be the best. More fish, bugs, fossils, clothing, pattern editing options, etc. And everthing should look and run sharper than on previous AC versions
