Wife may be getting me EA Sports game for free

My wife's company is in negoatiaions with EA Sports. My wife mentioned to her contact at EA Sports that her husband likes the EA Sports. He had told her that i f the deal worked out, he would make sure i get all the upcoming EA sports games for the Wii. I am critical of EA but I will take free EA Sports game especially since I was planning on buying Madden 09.

I am thinking fro free I would push for Madden, NCAA 09, and the new FIFA. Any other EA Sports title worth it if I have a limited number?

Tiger Woods, is that EA still? If so, I heard it's pretty good for the Wii.

Yeah, I would definitely get Tiger Woods PGA tour. It's going to have online play, and will be the most realistic golf sim yet. I dont see why you'd want 2 football games. You might also want to look into NBA Live.

Aren't all the Wii versions of those games going to be crappy All-Play ones? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Check out the reviews. Madden 07 was bette than the 360/PS3. Madden 08 wii was better than the PS3. The 360 ranked slighlty higher.

What is the big deal about the family play or all play? It still lets you control it in advanced mode.

I do not know if EAs attempts to get non sports gamers into the EA sports series will work but there is nothing wrong with All Play IMO since it has all the advanced moves with the Wiimote/Nunchuck mode.

I don't know, I'd take superior graphics than the Wii control's anyday. But the 5 on 5 in the Wii's version does sound interesting...

Then why buy the Wii? Seriously, it was no secret to anyone that the Wii has about the same graphic ability as the original xbox.

If you want graphics then go with the PC as the gaming platform.

Simply because there's game on the Wii that I love that I can't get anywhere else. Zelda titles, Metroid, Mario Kart, Brawl, Galaxy, even the Conduit.

Those are games I can't find on any other system that appeals to me. In those games, graphic ability is thrown out the door. But in games like Madden, I want the environment, player models to look good.

I have different purposes from my PS3 and my Wii, but I love them both.

EA Sports games? That's not really exciting. I guess you can get like $5 from gamestop. I'd ask if I could get Rock Band and Rock Band 2.

Wow. I should complain about free games. If I didnt like Sports Games then I think I would sell them on the net for $45 bucks.

I didnt realize the worth of a game was determined by the GameStop trade in value.

You know you can actually sell games to people and trade and get VALUE instead of trading inn 4 - 5 games for 1.

This is the most confusing statement I have ever heard. You have some sort of sliding scale in your mind of what games are worth it because of the graphics and which are not?? You are saying graphics models make Football a more immerseive experience? I kind of thought the actual controls did.

I could get the PC version and crank it up to 1920 x 1200 but it doesnt make the game more fun.

I played sports games on 36o, ps3, and wii. Personally, I like wii way more. It feels like you're actually in it, having to throw and stuff using your arms, it's awesome to be that interactive.
Honestly, graphics don't make a game, at all. I've seen some of the most beautiful and well designed games ever, and the story and gameplay were shit. I've seen games that don't have any graphics on them whatsoever and they were some of the best games I've ever played.

To each their own I guess, it's all opinions in the end, but I do believe it's fact that graphics don't make a good game, maybe you're just too anal?

The Wii can do more graphically than the xbox, and has more innovativeness than the 360 and ps3 could ever dream of.
Just because the games aren't 360/ps3 quality graphically, doesn't make them shit or close to it.

I had not played my PS2 for five years before getting a Wii. I had not interest in another console until the Wii came out. I am sorry but more of the same in HD is still just more of the same.

I did at least play Madden on the Wii becaue of the controls and it offered a different experience.

I just find it hard to believe how someone can justify that all games except Madden are less immersive because it needs realistic player models. This is what made video games so boring in the first play. They releaesed the same game with better graphics over and over.

No, I find that not all games need great graphics. However, yes, I do find that a Madden game is worth more with more enhanced graphics. I don't want to be playing Madden 03 on my next gen console.

The point here is, I don't care about the controls for the Wii for this specific game. If I want a realistic football experiance, I actually play the real sport. If I want to have fun, I'll play the game with the more advanced options, better graphics, etc.

That's just my opinion though. The Wii's better controls work in games like Boom Blox, even Wii Play. But when I personally want to play any sports game, I go to the more graphically advanced next-gen console.

And at your second post, you got it backwards. I said Madden was more fun with realistic player models. Not other games. There's lots of games out there that are fun with inferior graphics. Ex. Mario Kart, Brawl, etc.

Sorry but i just dont get how Madden is more fun with more realistic player models. We are talking about a game that has been out for 25 years and despite all the hype, it doesnt change a whole lot from year to year. There seems to be more bugs than enhancements each year.

I find the Wii version to be much better because of the controls. Have you played the PS3 version of Madden? It is absolule garbage but it looks good when it isnt dropping frames/
