Hopefully none. The whole idea is just stupid. Both from the perspective of the consumer and developer/publisher. Chances are by focusing in primarily on one band, you're going to be alienating a substantial part of the market that does not care for the band.

And even if you do like the band, who wants to be stuck with playing pretty much just their songs? I'd much rather have a diverse mix of songs from a variety of bands, genres, and eras.

most of the bands people are listing do not have enough good songs for a full game of GH.. especially Guns N Roses, talk about an over rated band

there is a reason that aerosmith has their own game, theyve been around for like 50 years and have a crap load of cds, metallica doesnt have as many cds but their first 4 albums, (5 if you count the black album) have so many good songs that you could make a game straight from those cds

in reality the only other bands i can think of that could get their own game are:

led zeppelin
black sabbath
rush
megadeth
acdc
van halen
iron maiden
eric clapton

and thats just off the top of my head, and the reason is that all of the bands i listed have been around for over 20 years or more

i could even see a band like slayer getting their own game but i dont think it would be a big cultural hit, alot of the bands that have enough material for these games the youth today doesnt know or listen too

i could see them making a game based on a certain genre like punk with a mix of bands like the sex pistols and misfits so that if you buy the game you know what your getting

and a song that i would like to see on guitar hero would be Testament - Over the Wall... that would be one song that would be hard as hell to beat, just listen to it once

metallica has 8 albums, and they're currently working on their 9th, to me thats plenty of songs

yeah metallica has 8 cds, plus a 2 cd set of covers, they have plenty of songs, but their songs are quality

oh yeah i missed judas priest on my list of bands too who deserve their own game

but what im saying about metallica is a normal band may have a cd and you might have only one song that is good or that was a hit, on a metallica cd youll have a hard time picking just one or two songs because their whole cds are solid

take master of puppets for example:
battery
master of puppets
the thing that should not be
welcome home (sanitarium)
damage inc

thats five songs out of eight that are great songs, and the other songs
disposable heroes
leper messiah
orion (which is an awesome instrumental)

are also awesome songs, which is why metallica has not released a greatest hits album, they would have a hard time picking their songs for even a double cd

theyll find a way to add something so there is a GH5, i would guess maybe adding keyboards or something, just so they can cash in some more on the series

A keyboard would be nearly impossible unless you played it in real life.

I am definately buying the Metallica one.

Guns N Roses would be great. They have tons of hit songs.

a keyboard wouldnt be that hard, it would only have to have 10 keys that work and heck it could even be 2 sets of 5 of the same colors, just have five keys so you can have one for each finger

and GNR would be almost impossible because for a band to get their own game they would have to have 40 songs for 8 levels of 5 songs (thats with encores) and GNR definitely doesnt have that many hit songs, i would say maybe 10 TOPS
