I like rogue RPGs...any opinions on baroque? I've read the reviews, but has anyone on here personally played it or rented it? Opinions?

From what I've seen on reviews, it looks bad. I'd check out some videos and gameplay footage to see if it plays like something you'd like.

Awesometacular. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and it's a niche title. I personally love it. One of my favorites.

I believe he means he personally loves it, but it's probably something a lot of other people wouldn't understand or appreciate, so it'd be hard to say, "Hey, play this game!"
I could relate that to a few games myself.

Best bet with those types of games, is to shut off all reviews and opinions in mind, and to play with an open mind and try it for yourself.

Yeah probably just worded that badly. Excellent game, but not something everyone can appreciate. I also have a few favorite movies that are the same way. If I know someone personally I may recommend it to them. My co-worker bought it after what I told him about it, and he likes it too.

Twisted story, random-dungeon goodness with a touch of the right difficulty. I enjoy death being required to further some of the story, and starting over at level 1 is an acquired taste. Definitely not for everyone though.
