I'm sure you can scroll vertically a bit, just not look at the sky sort of up. Makes sense, really.

Yeah, that's what I stated earlier. I'm sure you can look up diagonally, just not a full 90º. You have to somewhat since there are many flying enemies which have been shown.

well, the interview said "No vertical scrolling" why would they say that if what they really mean is "you can scroll vertically a bit but you cant look straight up"

yeah that woudnt be a bother what zorba said.

lets talk about art style shall we? it looks bland because its based on real life location. in games like MP3 and halo, you are free to come up with your own setting. i mean you cant have a lush forest in the middle of washington

Well you cant change the setting, its on Earth...we dont have glowing blue orbs and massive anti air craft guns everywhere...just shops. And the odd bakery.

It's futuristic anyways. Perhaps Washington has a central park in the middle in the future? :P

The story looks like it'll take you to a new location that's not Washington, anyways. Enemy base is not out of the question.

nah its not distant future, its near future so maybe 2015 or 2020?

and yeah, there are different locations too

I massivly doubt that will be a problem. Of course you will be able to look up enough.

all right lets talk about the possible online modes. i expect there to be standard three modes (dm, tdm, ctf) As well as several new ones. i want tehre to be a mode where its like agents vs trust vs aliens, that would be kick ass. also a mode wher its 4 vs 4 vs 4 vs 4 mode since there are 16 players. also some sort of king of hill mode etc. does anyone have any idea how wiispeak might be implemented ? will we need to add each otehr to wii consoles? hope not.

I'm sure High Voltage Software will bring something fresh to the table along with some classics like you mentioned (DM, CTF etc.).

You have some great ideas there. Sadly I do believe the game will use friendcodes, but HVS did say they were aiming for an online better than mariokart wii.

I think they talked about King of The Hill mode as well as Capture The Flag and Deathmatch. I'd be happy with just those along with Wiispeak and good online (good connections etc.)

If those three are included thats great, anything else is icing.

The gestures seem really cool, the grenade launcher and the trust gun included. This is why I would buy a wii over the Xbox so I hope they will have more guns like this!

Honestly, as long as you're able to filter games and use voice chat, I'm not that concerned about potentially having to use friend codes.

Yes, they're annoying, but voice chat will make a huge difference as far as making the game seem personable.
