ya i would too. to me wiispeak seems like something you'd use to talk to your cousin or some family members, not to random people you meet on the internet. headsets are just more convenient IMO

yeah but it wouldn't make sense for Nintendo to do that, they're always going for a community look and having one headset would go against their image. It doesn't matter at least you don't have to wear anything and it's still voice chat.

well it could be"unofficial nintedo headset" from nyko. (does that even make sense?)

"The Conduit is a tricky one to judge at this stage. On the one hand you've got a game that, by current FPS standards, looks a little shaky in terms of visuals and conception. We'll explain later about that, but on the other hand you've got a title specifically disigned for the Wii by guys with genuine passion for the console. At this stage, it could go either way. Whereas most titles begin with a gameplay idea, The Conduit was conceived as a title to show how good an FPS on the Wii can be.
This means that we can expect some genuinely intuitive controls as well as a frame rate and pace which suits Wii gaming down to the ground. Our biggest problem is how generic everything looks. From the lead character, (Mr Ford), the alien technology and character models, the political consiracies and the viral plague underlying the whole affair, everything is pretty much a standard fare.
That hasn't turned our head completly away from The Conduit, as there's still plenty of room for the little things which give a title in a crowded genre some character. In terms of storyline, you play Mr Ford, a new recruit to The Trust (some king of government agency) who is tasked with taking down the alien invaders, The Drudge. These insectoid invaders infected Washington DC with an alien virus which turns humans into puppets, creating a ready-made army.
Mr Ford gets help from his agency in the form of alien/human technology including a device called the All Seeing Eye, which will aid in the solving of puzzles. This device is likely to be something unique to the genre, given the nature of the motion control, which should make it's intelligence-gathering and puzzle solving abilities intersting to wield.
We can't really find too much good to say about The Drudge, though, and calling the enemy that name gives us journalists the equivalent of a free hit should the game wind up to be a bit rubbish.
The most intriguing thing about The Conduit is likely to be just how nicely it fits in with the the Wii's control scheme. At it's best, it'll scale the heights that only exclusive titles can because of the limitations of working across multiple platforms. At it's worst, it will be an untidy, derivative shooter of little note. Here's hoping it's the former."
- It doesn't look great, but doesn't have to.
- It's a rare Wii-exclusive FPS.
- Uses a proprietary Quantum 3 engine.
- However the narrative looks generic.
EU Release date: Q1 09.

I second the motion. Nintendo can't even make a headset without making it something over simplified. Just give us a headset...

k, far as online goes, dm, tdm, and ctf would satisfy me, but i'm definately lookin forward to some that utilize the ASE. maybe, a ctf variant where you have to use the ASE to find an item and then bring it back to your base, or in the normal modes you need to use the ASE to uncover power weapons like the missile launcher or the big lazer thing in some of the screenshots. and the humans vs. trust vs. aliens like was mentioned before would be awesome

It doesn't sound like they played it since they said everything we knew already and then less.

^ It looks great for a Wii game.. it looks almost like a 360 game. Not quite, though.

They make a DS headset, so it's not like they're opposed to the concept in general.

^ The level of detail on the textures (for enemies especially) aren't quite 360.
The DS gets more attention, features, and better online than wii users do. I should go get a DS and sell my Wii.

Yeah they wouldn't make a community based voice chat for the DS. They would for the wii because they can. It's just part of thier image, market for the wii.

found some new screns here
NOT THE BEST ONES THOUGH =/
AND HERES ANOTHER PREVIEW. LINKAGE
I DONT LIKE HOW PREVIEEWRS KEEP COMPARING THE STORYLINE TO GENERIC STORIES OF OTEHR CONSOLS FPS. PERSONALLY, I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT STORYLINE IN FPS GAMES
