The Wii's hardware limitations are only met by the limitations of the human imagination. Unlike you, HVS have broad imaginations with the accomplishment of generating the nicest graphics on the Wii yet, and they can accomplish splitscreen if encouraged enough. Consumerism isn't a prison where you just bend over and take it; it's a system of compromisation, and the consumer's needs may be met if they are acknowledged by the producers.

and no one is "bending over" and taking it. its not like this game will be a minigame collection and people are all hyped up about it. now that would be bending over and taking it. you say that compromisess must be made. so yes HVS have made compromises when trading split screen for otehr things. please dont give me this capitalist crap.

edit: anotehr one of thread ruined by haters. look, people, in terms of everythiung except controls, 360/ps3 fps are better than conduit so why feel all thretened? if its split screen you want, loads of 360/ps3 games have it. just play those. please dont come ruining everything for us wii owners.

I said, they're only met by the lack of imagination which is required to push the Wii to its true limitations; meaning, if they put their minds to it, they can accomplish even more. Six months ago, we thought Corruption and Galaxy were the best visuals we were going to see on Wii, and then HVS showed us up. They've decided on no splitscreen because it's obviously difficult, not because it's impossible. Complaining equals encouragement, and encouragement may lead to some tweaking to accomplish splitscreen multiplayer. It's worth the sweat to sit here and complain rather than sit in silence just because you say so.

what if you are saisfied with whats in the game curently? i mean its ok that people disply their thoughts about lack of split screen once but why do it constantly? just send them an email. i sure did about giving them ideas about online aspects. (i havent yet gotten the reply yrt)

EDIT: hell, in that email i sent them, i even put a link to this thread for them to see

Jesus calm down, criticising something doesn't mean your a hater!

The people criticising the game aren't non wii owners, their probably wii only owners, who want something to match fps on the other consoles. Do you really see people coming over from 360 only forums, seeing this thread, making an account and, because they feel threatened() posting 'i'm annoyed this doesn't have spit screen' , don't be so paranoid!

They're not exactly doing it constantly. The topic isn't being changed so its relevance sticks. Its failure to alleviate itself from the current subject is proof in iteself of its crucial importance.

i guess you areright but its just that i am so frustrated by 360/ps3 owners coning into a good wii game section and just criticizing it constantly. sometimes it gets a little silly. sometimes you just want to enjoy a game for what it is, not what you think it should be.

I don't see how it's so hard to understand, but what I mean is that if you consider how many individuals are jumping in on the thread and spilling their two cents on the lack of splitscreen, then you may see how important it is to the general consumer.

It's a big deal because it's the first FPS on the Wii that is going to provide Wii owners with what an FPS is supposed to be. I know I wouldn't have played those hundreds of hours of GoldenEye, Duke Nukem 64 and Perfect Dark if there were no splitscreen. Nintendo consoles have come to be known for being great in-house multiplayer systems, which explains the hostility towards the no splitscreen decision. This is what a lot of people bought the Wii for, to play with their friends. Right from day one, it was marketed as a console to enjoy with other people with all those Wii Sports advertisements. Telling them no splitscreen is no big deal is telling them Wii is no big deal.

why are both of you arguing over what other people are going to think? does it matter? it doesn't. I'm gonna get it with or without the splits screen because even though i'd def prefer to have it, it is just a minor detail in the grand scheme of things. There's my two cents, I really could care less what the general consumers might think.

ok this is my last argument in this debate. one game does not make or break a console, especially when a game is not even rubbish
