ya i guess i never really noticed anything about the sound so i guess it's fine to me
Well, I play my Wii on a bigscreen with 7.1 surround sound. I notice.
I get some surround from the Wii, but nothing spectacular. A FPS game is a situation where sound-direction can play a critical and useful role in gameplay.

especially in online. thats one of the things that htey talk about for socom:confromtation where you can judge the position of a enemy because of the sound. wii can support 7.1? i dint know.

The Wii itself doesn't support it. The Wii has Dolby Pro Logic II which embeds 5.1 channels. My receiver then analyzes those and processes them to virtualize the additional 2 rear channels.

Set to "easy" shouldn't mean they're stupid and run into objects. Generally, it should mean that they're easier to take down (less health), you get more ammo, etc. Not that the AI is dumber. Besides, it is so much more difficult to code different gradations of AI intelligence. They need to focus on making the AI intelligent.
As far as the sound effects, they were just as bad in the other videos, which were directly recorded.
Well, the core AI can't be totally different for each difficulty level, but it's incredibly easy to make some tweaks, even with games as old as the Jedi Knight series.
-Different rates of fire. Enemies can fire their guns more frequently in higher difficulties.
-Reaction speed.
-Turning speed/running speed.
-Overall accuracy/what they tend to aim for (in Red Steel it was set to "shoot everything but the player")
-Resistance to damage/flinching (I played Jedi Academy on normal mode and stormtroopers would flinch every time you shoot them. Play it on Jedi Master (Very Hard) mode, every enemy turns into Brock Sampson and it's like they suck in your shots)
-How frequently the enemies use cover/objects (such as turrets) around them, how frequently they use dodge maneuvers (this is an alien shooter, so we're bound to see some freaky shit like aliens leaping 20 feet into the air to dodge fire)
Etc., etc.

I just read the IGN hands-on impression and here are some quotes (mainly the highlights) that most people will enjoy reading:

However, High Voltage is purportedly aiming for a robust online experience complete with WiiSpeak support for voice-over support -- another first-person shooter first on Wii.

The Conduit additionally features a fully customizable control scheme so that you create your layout as you see fit. Don't like the fact that scope zoom is mapped to the bottom D-Pad? Change it. Prefer that the A button be used for crouching? No problem. And High Voltage promises that in the final version, you will even be able to map certain moves to Wii remote gestures if you'd prefer.

You can see it in the way the reticule moves smoothly around the screen and you can see it when Corso makes a sharp turn and the screen flows quickly and fluidly to the right. The clunky, mechanical control that you endure in so many console-based first-person shooters is absent from The Conduit. Rather, it simulates the spectacular responsiveness found in Medal of Honor Heroes 2, a game that we celebrated almost entirely for its definable control setup.
Man, this game needs rag doll physics. Death animations are very boring and incredibly outdated.

From the IGN hands-on, looks like nothing's wrong with the game. I'm excited for this game, but I'm defiantly not expecting a 10/10. With 16 online and voice chat, I'm gettin this on launch.
And for some reasons I can't post threads..........
Not my cup of tea, definitely glad I'm getting my 360 back.
I looked at all the stuff, and nothing seems of interest. I hope you all enjoy though. Hopefully they improve the controls, graphics, animations, and online.

After reading the hands on i'm sold, long as they sort out the framerate (and they have plenty of time to do that).

Later, when High Voltage brought The Conduit to our E3 war room, the polished visuals encapsulating the title tricked a few passersby into believing that The Conduit was an Xbox 360 game.
Quality visuals, great controls, WiiSpeak and online multiplayer. This game might even end up turning some hardcore Wii haters heads.
I've never once talked down about The Conduit, whoever that guy was that tried to call me out.
Game looks awesome.
ah, i must have gotten it mixed up in all the other threads that you have bagged the wii. i apologise.
and for me, split screen multiplayer on a FPS is rediculous. if you think about it, you able to see the other persons point of view. that means that the only time it would be worth playing is for cooperative. otherwise forget about trying to sneak up or running to hide.
People who say this is the first proper fps on wii obviously hav'nt heard of MP3 and MOH:H2...
We have, and it's still the first proper FPS.
MOH:H2 did something great, and that's no friend codes. But it sucks because it takes a million shots to kill people, there is no blood or dust or anything when you hit someone, the animations look inhuman and totally weird, and I could go on forever about how bad the single-player is. Above all, it's World War II.
MP3 is more of an adventure game than an FPS. Nontheless, I played it and loved it to death. Shame there's nothing to do after beating hyper mode 100%.

It's very easy to say that, but when you're actually playing a good FPS, then your immersed in the game and not paying attention to those types of things.
