Well it's still awhile until the game comes out, but I am really anticipating it. And watching all the videos and reading hands-on stuff only makes me want to play this game more.
I'm really excited about the online stuff, the controls seem to be perfect and it's an interesting story.

Though I'd love for The Conduit to do extremely well in every market, I don't see that happening.
It's just too cheesy and amateurish for 360 and PS3 owners to care about, the vast majority of Wii owners won't care about an FPS.
I don't see it getting rated above a 7 or 8 on IGN, and that's being EXTREMELY generous.

^whatever dude... i see it doing very well and getting a great rating from IGN, they love it so far. and what does it matter if 360 or PS3 owners care or not, it looks like a great game that comes close to rivaling those other consoles and will be superior in game mechanics due to using the wii remote and movements.

Pretty sure The Conduit is aimed at Wii owners, not XBox 360 and Playstation 3 owners.

That statement doesn't line up with any sort of facts that have been represented on these forums, other websites, or even my own anecdotal experiences amongst people I know.

But I can't wait to use that gun that curves the bullets as you curve the wii mote and I think that is only one of the cool toys out of the many things they have for the wii and can't wait to show us what they have learned from the few games they've made.

The vast majority of Wii owners don't read forums, read gaming websites, or subscribe to gaming magazines.
The vast majority of Wii owners haven't even heard of The Conduit.
30 million Wiis have been sold worldwide.
I sell numerous Wii consoles per week at work, and yet, I haven't sold an actual Wii GAME in almost two weeks.
I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Me? I think 75% of Wii gamers only cared about Wii Sports, and will continue to only care about Wii Sports.
Furthermore, I love that you guys romanticize the Wii so much as to say it doesn't even compete with the PS3 and 360. lol. Strange; why is the Wii case right next to the 360 and PS3 cases in any given retailer?

game is looking great. publisher wont make much difference so no point in getting all worked up about it. all it can really affect is the servers that the online is played on. other than that i think HVS will have 100% control

linuxghost: stop trolling. I too am getting tired of your endless Wii-bashing posts on these forums.
Retailers put Special K next to Captain Crunch in the cereal isle too but that doesn't mean they "compete". What a retailer or website does with arranging product has no bearing on what Nintendo is actually marketing the Wii towards. This has already been explained to you. The market is different, as the price points and the nature of the games are different. Period. The rest of us figured this out years ago. I would hope that someone in retail sales as you claim to be would at least grasp this fundamental aspect of product marketing.
It doesn't surprise me people aren't buying Wii games from you. If I ran into a salesman with your negative attitude, I wouldn't buy from you either. They probably only buy the Wiis themselves from you because the console is still so ridiculously popular that they're still extremely hard to find 2 years after being released, unlike the games which can be found everywhere.

How much do you care to bet?
From reading IGN impressions I don't think they could be more in love with the game.

I agree that a lot of wii games are not getting sold that much because, well, advertisement isn't a big fan of the wii. And to know what games are out there you'll have to look real hard, heck I'm still finding games that I haven't heard about that been published since last year. The wii has really bad or no advertisement in the US and it makes it hard on to know what gamees to buy or know what games are out there.

yeah hopefully HVS and who ever the publisher is does some good advertising unlike what nintendo does... as long as they can get the game shown on TV it will help sell it a lot more.

Well maybe because advertising costs money and is something you do when you need to generate sales.
Nintendo doesn't need to generate sales. They need to invest in more manufacturing capacity.
I'm glad they aren't wasting money on needless advertising to try and sell more of something they already can't make enough of as it is.
That said... I do see plenty of advertisements for Wii Fit. I saw lots for Mario Kart when it first came out too.

When the wii first came out, I never saw any ads yet people in the US said that they saw them all the time. Now that the US economy has taken a nose dive, companies are ignoring USA. Trust me, I live in Canada and have never seen so many ads for the wii before. Canada having the strongest economy of the G7 countries only shows companies the road from USA to Canada. No one wants to invest in a country that is going through recession. I'm sorry if I sound mean but this is fact.
