Just a heads up. One of the developers said they were still working on the AI.
The game is far from completed and High Voltage seems to be taking its time something a lot of Wii developers aren't doing. I like the way they work.

It depends on the game maybe. Splitscreen multiplayer was one of the best things in Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. Everyone going into a panic because they've seen someone pick up the golden gun kind of made it more fun.

Also, split screen multiplayer isn't always competitive... for team-based online modes, the people sharing your screen could be on your same team, and won't care if you see their half or not.

Personally, if HV didn't include split screen, it wouldn't bother me too much. If they did have it though, it would be nice. I am just excited about the online w/ voice chat!

IT BETTER BE LAG FREE(Obviously not completely)!

It's not about sound processers or Dolby this, Dolby that. They've used pretty terrible sound files in the game. Like I said, I literally heard sound files from the ORIGINAL Doom (what's it now, about 15 years old) at least once in the few minutes of footage that was shown.

It's not Dolby; it's just crappy sound files.

MOHH2 wasn't that good of a game. The only redeeming quality of the game are the excellent controls. Otherwise, it's lackluster at best. Single player is a joke, and the online is riddled with basic flaws and becomes boring within a few short hours. Even the original SOCOM blew this game out of the water in terms of online quality.

Hopefully, The Conduit will finally bring the Wii with some quality online action. Now if only they don't require 10,000 bullets to bring someone down (ala MOHH2).

Leaving out something optional is always a bad idea if it doesn't hurt development time or other parts of the game.
Considering they're still trying to lock single player down to 30 FPS, I doubt they'll include a split screen mode as it'd like chug quite a bit. Anyone remember playing Perfect Dark split screen? It chugged like crazy even with only two people. For some reason, I can imagine HVS not wanting that to be the case and just leaving split screen out, especially considering very few members of the target audience would probably even use it. Split screen FPS games died a long time ago. Are any of the 360/PS3 shooters split screen?

Call of Duty, that I know of. I'm sure there are others. And it is insanely fun. And there isn't a more awkward moment than inviting a friend over, playing an awesome FPS, and he goes "Hey, let's play each other!" and you have to answer that with "Erm, this game doesn't have split screen". And you just glare at each other for a few seconds, then nod your heads in disappointment. This is even worse when you have a sibling.

I'm sticking to my statement, there's no reason to leave it out unless it hinders the game.

I played for quite a long time. I'd say at least 15-20 hours online. And it takes longer than that to get used to the controls in order to make kills, I'm sorry, but it's a problem with the game, not the player. One problem definitely is the HUMONGOUS reticle, though. That thing is just way too big. It covers half the person, yet only the tiniest dot in the center actually indicated where the shots would be going.

But yeah, I could take down people in around 10 or so shots, if a few were in the head. But that is still ridiculous. One shot to the head with any gun should take someone down. Three or four shots anywhere else should. Don't get me started with the shotgun, which required at least 2 shots (more like three or more) to take someone down. Shoot someone point blank with a shotgun in real life, and they'll be split in half.

The whole health regeneration thing was uber-annoying too and exacerbated the whole "taking-so-many-bullets-to-take-someone-down" thing. Unless you're out in the wide open (and you're stupid if you are), it's easy to duck behind something/around the corner/etc. and regenerate all your health after being one shot from death. It was just ridiculously cheesy.

Then why did you play it for 20 hours? Couldnt have been that bad.

If it was....WHY are you here talking about it? Go and buy another game/console that flaots your boat. Are you really this sad?

Alright then maybe not MOH but MP3 should still be remembered.

no i can tell you its definately a problem with the player. after 2 or 3 hours with the online and all the problems you mentioned become obsolete as your brain works around those problems. ask anyone that plays this game like subarnu, winter, thas, wezels, aowfraggit etc. and yes in the game, shotgun does kill you in one hit from point blank.

EDIT: so you would have it like this?: respawn, get hit in the head once, die, respawn, hit someone in the head, kill, get hit inthe head once, die.....

anyways, lets stay on topic shall we?

So now it's a crime that he played the game? He probably played online 20 hours to form a solid opinion on the game and attempt to master the controls. And why is he here talking about it? Maybe because he played the game and his stating his honest opinion...

^ lmao

i would like to see duel wielding and flamethrower in this game but that prolly wont happen,

imagine onrails segments where wiimote is the right hand weapon and nunchuck is left hand. both have their own reticules. if that sort of thing is even possible with nunchuck. i also would like to see what kind of fire effects this engine can do. i loved the watrer effects in hte sewers in teh latest videos.
