sonic with a sword now thats good thinking but i think they coulda thought of a more interesting weapon or something to that effect i really like this idea its better than all that 3rd running BS that FAILS!

Yes, 16 Sonic games with different themes and settings were all horrible

But give him a sword, and this one will be good! Seriously!

Here comes a repeat of Need for Speed's short development cycles. SEGA needs to slow down with game production and sit back to make a quality Sonic game, the franchise that brought them to where they are today. What we've been seeing lately doesn't look interesting or promising in my opinion. Just hope for the best.

really that hasnt happened before if i recall correctly, so who who knows, there are first time for everything. again i ask you can i borrow your time machine?

Err...pretty sure sonic with a sword is NOT a good idea. It's the equivalent of giving mario a gun in mario galaxy. It just doesnt work and doesn't fit the game. Let's hope this isn't some pathetic attempt at an RPG of some sort...

At first it was said to be photoshopped but after people said it looked too good to be photoshop so I dunno. Maybe people from our GFX lounge can decide if its real or not but it looks real to me. If that was photoshop it was done well, and the issue says September at the bottom but I guess if it releases in August it counts as the August issue.

i can understand why everyone is so pesimistic about sonic, but think about it, they spent 4 YEARS developing unleashed with sonic team and sega of america, europe, and japan. i highly doubt it will be a let down. and this new one probably wont be coming out anytime soon and probably is still deep within development. sega from now on is going to take time with the franchise and garantee (sp?) quality games for sonic the hedgehog.
