For PS3 and 360 I think all instrument compatibility is confirmed. For Wii, unfortunately nothing has been confirmed or denied. There's still hope...I'm not holding my breath though. I will be pleasantly surprised if it happens but not counting on it.

This is the first time I have tried to post a link, so I'm not sure if this is going to work or not:
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/27/gu...3-rock-band-2/
Within that article is another link that takes you to the compatibility matrix, but I thought that article in itself was interesting.

As far as I know, there is no such thing...yet anyway. I'm sure they will come out with one to milk some more money out of us...

Well, if the GH 3 guitar will be compatible with RB2, I'll be picking it up. I have World Tour for multiplayer.

The mic that comes with the Rock Band kit worked really on Guitar Hero WT. No issues like I have read about, (i.e. mic sounding bad) at all.

I haven't entered any friend codes or anything yet, but I've played the random 'hook you up with someone to play' mode a couple of times. The first time the other person lost connection after 1 song. The second time was last night...it seemed that my guitar was messing up while I was playing, but not sure if it was the guitar or the connection? I wanted to play more to verify that there were no problems with my guitar (since I already had to exchange it for a new one cuz the first one wasn't working), but I got interrupted by the young-uns and haven't made it back to it since.

Well, I FINALLY got the game+guitar bundle yesterday, and I must say, it's a really good game that is worth the money because it has so much value; you can almost never run out of things to do. One think that bugs me though is that some of the text on the screen is pretty hard to read because either it's too tiny, or it's all scrunched up. Haven't tried much of the music studio, but I think I'll put it to use in the future (if anyone here makes a song, be sure to let us know!) I haven't finished career yet, (about 35%) but the songs in the beginning were way too easy, I have no idea why some of those were put in the game, but it's getting harder now, so that's good. I played online, and it worked out well. I like how you can keep playing until someone decides to quit, but I don't think you can choose what venue to play, which is kind of lame. I love the new guitar. The slider bar is going to take a while to get used to, but I like using it, even though I suck at it. The thing I don't like about the guitar though is that its close to impossible to activate star power using the tilt method. After 2 days of playing this game, I can say that I'm impressed, and it will be quite some time before I get bored with it, and I think I'll buy the drum set separately in the future. So if you haven't bought this game yet, then I suggest you get your butt over to the store and get it!

is it just me, or are the only challenging songs in the last venue?
you'd think with over 80 tracks, there'd be a few more hard songs...
and i'm playing on expert btw.

Well today my guitar decided that it didn't want to register all of my downstrums anymore. What a POS. I wait over a week for this game after the release date because they were late on shipping and they give me a faulty guitar? THANKS! Why does literally everything I buy have to break?

Perhaps they didn't want people complaining that they weren't able to beat the game on whatever mode like what happened on GHIII.

My friend just got the game, and I was playing guitar on Hard, and it was extremely easy for me; even on expert I didn't have any problems. I think they dumbed down the difficulty to make it more appealing for group play, kinda like rock band. The guitar parts are generally more repetitive and chord heavy instead of crazy hammer-on and pull-off solos that Guitar Hero III was full of.
