I really hope that you can use the GHWT set with RB2, I am pretty sure that they are selling the game by itself also without buying any insturments. It would be worth the money I think to buy the game without insturments and use the GH ones. Love the game but haven't gotten too much done on it and I am glad that they did dumb it down a bit so that everyone can enjoy it on all levels of difficulty

OK, so who has played around with the recording studio? I wanted to play it over the weekend but could not figure out how to start recording while using the guitar. Am I a complete idiot or what?? When I went into training mode to try to figure it out, it was telling me to push some button and then push it again, but there is no such button! Help please?!

Yeah, it took me a while to figure out. You use the analog stick on the guitar by moving it to left and to the right to start recording or something like that. And btw, good luck making a song, because it's hard. Let me know if you figure out how to make the notes sound differently, how to make hopos, and chords, because i couldn't figure it out.

Alright, so people have been asking if GHWT instruments will work for RB2 and vice versa. And the answer is unfortunately no. This is according to the "Guitar Hero Team" and RedOctane. May be subject to change, but that's where it stands right now.
The only way to have full cross compatibility is to have either a 360 or PS3.

That chart has to be wrong; I thought the LP was compatible with RB1?

Don't know what to say except for that these charts came straight from the Guitar Hero Community website. But I do see what you are talking about, because I've seen the articles on IGN. So, either GH's stuff is out of date or they wait until the actual game comes out to update the charts. i have no clue.
On a side note, people looking for a good deal on a Wii GH4 set should check out DELL's website: HERE
I don't know the complete details but $100 for the complete band set seems like a awesome deal and I wish I would have known about it before.

That's a smoking deal! I've never seen any of this discounted anywhere. I checked the pictures repeatedly and they show the entire kit and mention the drums in the description.
Uh... Dell just changed the picture. And the Manufacturer Part# : 95455 matches the kit with the guitar only.
We just bought GH:WT so it won't work for us. But our son has GH3 and wants WT including drums and mic. He was reading along with me the other night. He was at expert mode and I'm still on easy and he still beats me. :P He wants to try out the mic while playing. He's also heard about some early problems with the drum kit, but I figure the cost of the mic and kit at $0 so if they need to be upgraded, there's no loss.
So... if I may digress...
Does anybody make a wireless headset mic for the Wii that works with GH:WT? It seems that would be useful to play and sing at the same time.
thanks,
hank

Just go to the Red Octane website and order direct.
In-stock, free shipping, and use coupon ROSTORE for 10% off. It'll say the coupon is expired but it still seems to apply the discount anyhow.

Thanks!! When I get time to play again, I will check it out. I highly doubt I will be able to make a song, but I want to play around with it anyway. I'll let ya know if I figure anything else out.

I tried to use that discount but it wouldn't let me. And I wouldn't recommend buying anything from redoctane, they just suck.

Guess you shouldn't buy Guitar Hero then, since it's from them (they're the publisher).

I've got the guitars but how can I get the drums and mic seperately for Wii on Guitar Hero WT?

Ebay, or wait until they are sold separately.
