So...Samba De Amigo will have DLC on day 1. But....

Any cues for DLC from other games?
Not to sound cynical, but as much as I love my little white box, it's taken nearly 2 years for a game to come with DLC on the get-go (if at all).

I mean, I'm fine without surprise new levels/characters/stickers for Brawl.

And I'm even fine without new courses on MKart Wii.

But anything...like a Mii Channel update of hair/clothes would have at least given me something.

All I can see is AC Wii taking advantage of WiiConnect24...It's even better than the Virtual Console, in my opinion (especially with slow flow of games coming out via VC)

The WiiConnect24 idea is wonderful, and has a ridiculous amount of potential. Heck my Wii is technically 'on', all the time, in that sense, and I just get the rare messages from my little brother back home.

Forgive me if I sounded cynical on this, as I'm not trying to. I'm just...stating something.

Thoughts? Opinions on the subject of DLC?

It's a maraca's game. With cameos from people from Space Channel 5 (A Dreamcast game also from Sega) It looks like a better version of Boogie, but I don't see it selling too well.

But yeah, you mention songs for GH3. Imagine Nintendo giving out that Harddrive (nothing big...say...10 gig for 30-50?) ((20G 360 HDD is 60)). Now, imagine the excitement of waiting for the __th/st day of the month, in which a new song came out.

Your Wii would glow blue for something OTHER than a software fix update.

Heck, Metroid fans could download the ol' Fusion suit after beating Corruption via WC24. Mario Party fans could get an official retro board level from a past game revamped. TP fellows could get a small sidequest to introduce the 'Big Sword' (theoretical, work with me folks). ...

Or say Clover looks back at Okami and says 'yknow, what if we wanted to put in a new Brush Attack?
Or what if those MoH creators said "Maybe our controls DID suck. What if we sent an update for different controls as an option?"

I know I'm ranting off here, but at the same time I don't wanna sound like I'm expecting TOO much from WC24 here....

guitar hero 4 is confirmed to have DLC on all platforms.

I know, I'm aware of that. But that should have been issued not only at GH3's release (harddrive or not), but at least last year.

I know Wii isn't built for powerful online (XBox Live's arcade and other do-hickey went up months into the life of the console (Original/360), but at the same time, you just gotta ask yourself.

I mean, I'm aware that all of the channels (save for the Disc and VC channel) utilize WC24, for weather, news, Mii transfers, VC list and whatnot, but they have a myriad of potential to fix bugs and add content to games. (AC Wii will get weekly new furniture/items, so that's a start)
