Sonic in SSB Brawl?

I know a ton of people will hate me for saying this, but I was a little disappointed seeing the appearance of Snake. Yes it could be nice to see a lot of 3rd party developers offering their franchises, but I did like the solid nintendo theme of the previous Smash titles.

On the other hand, if we do have 3rd party characters in the mix, then we migh as well go all out and throw in some other really good ones too and hopefully not just snake. It must be hard to do because there hasn't been a large number of memorable franchised characters in the past 10-15 years by 3rd party developers. Once you get Konami, Capcom, and Square-enix staple characters, are there really that much more?

sonics supper jump can be a air dash quick attack like picachu and down b can be his bounch attack and side b can be his ring dash attack (you know you press be next to rings then you follow them really fast)

ssbb lover, when i said Pit doesnt fit, I meant if they can make an 16bit character from over 10 years ago work on SSBM like ice climbers or game & watch or PIT.
They can make sonic work very easily and I respect your opinion of saying you dont want sonic in it, but I dont like your reasons.

And Spyke, you don't have to hit "Enter" every 5 seconds, just type out what you want, it fits the page itself....

Also Spyke, if you meant that who would think of putting G&M or Pit in there because they were old...why'd you bring it up? Sonic's not old...he's got like 1-3 games coming out a year...

sly copper is a game only for the ps2 my couians have it so is jak and dexter ( the so called mascouts of ps2 and so is master cheif for microsoft as said on wikipedia)

For me the whole idea of him as a character would be killed if he couldn't mess with time. Yet, the ability to do that would be excessively cheap and unfair. I just say leave him out because he is either too powerful or not Viewtiful Joe.

MC would be amazing, but how would his shields work? Would he just regain stamina over time, or would he have damage resistance? The sticky nades would be cool to see it stuck on someone, and see them blow up like link's bomb. It would add a whole thing where they could suicide you like in Halo (Could be a mid ranged smash attack that could backfire...). I could see PPs working like the super scope, and needlers homing like Samus' missiles. He would possibly work if snake fits in ok, but MC is just not Nintendo based...

I would like to comment on the confirmed characters. Meta knight looks great, I like the gliding as a recovery move, and I like the wings... But he better be easy to send flying with such good recovery abilities. Zero suit Samus looks very good, as does Pit. However, Pit has the wing advantage as well. Snake... well snake is similar to MC. I love both as their separate games, but when in SSB I doubt he will fit in very well as a Nintendo character. Wario is my choice for funniest character, and default. I will probably enjoy groundpounding everyone. Crushing their bones with my weight lol. I think the fart will be as fun to use as Luigi's "pimp slap" dash move.
