I have noticed that PSP3 and XBOX have downloadable demo games.
Does anyone know of any for the Wii and if so where to get them?

Who knows, maybe with the storage solution, we will see wii demos. I sure hope so, because my cousin is always getting awesome demos for his PS3, and I'll admit, I'm getting kind of jealous.

Closest thing to demos are the video ads on the Nintendo Channel.
The Wii does not have the storage area to handle downloadable demos. It would also require the game developers to spend the time, effort, and money to produce a separate demo of each game.

Heaven forbid they do a crazy thing like that to possibly help increase sales and customer service.

Not every investment improves net revenue enough to justify its expense. If I spent $1000 on advertising that increases sales by $100, was it wise?
And how does a demo "increase customer service"? It would increase the demands on the CS dept, as now you'd have all these people having issues installing/running the demo.
My point is that it's not as easy as just pushing a button or spending another hour and voila, a developer can crank out a demo. Even if Nintendo creates the necessary infrastructure for a demo download system, not every developer is going to jump all over it. Depends if the nature of their game allows for the creation of a "demo" version, and if they can reduce its size significantly enough to warrant downloading. Which again depends on a storage solution. Neither the Wii's internal 512MB nor a 2GB SD card are sufficient, and since Nintendo's idea of a "storage solution" is "let people download VC games to the SD card" I wouldn't hold your breath.

The WiiWare version of Dr. Mario has a demo. But you can't just download it yourself, someone else who already owns the full version of the game has to send it to you.

Oh, you mean like they already do and have done for years on PC, 360, and PS3?

It would be great for them to have demos for the up coming game and in my opinoun we'll see them starting to make demos later down the road. Because they have already made download demos for your nitendo ds and some of those games made me want to buy them, which I did. The demo played as well as the gaem it self when I bought it so I really didn't need to get used to a new control type, but the wii can do this for the DS. Yes i can happen and that would be awesome or it could be just like sremick said aboout waisting a thousand dollars and only making a hundred dollar profit.

Umm, did I say it was impossible? No. Read the post I made after the one you quoted. I already said that it might not be financially feasible regardless of any increase in sales and it depends on the nature of the game engine. Just because some games can easily make demos doesn't mean all can easily do so, nor does it mean that all those that did make demos got their money's worth.
Seriously, lg... your personal vendetta against me that prompts you to attack any post I make in any thread is kind of old.

They could easily distribute demos/patches like they did in the old days - through floppy/CD's in store, or included in magazines. No - or very minimal - HDD space would be needed.

Vendetta?
You say a boatload of stupid sh*t, it's just easy to target.
You try so hard to exempt the Wii from any standardized gaming "rules" (marketing and game demos are prime examples), and for people like myself, excuses just aren't cutting it.

Funny. The mods have thanked me for my intelligent and helpful posts.
Please find another forum to troll on. Almost all your posts are trash-talking the Wii.

No, my posts are honest. I don't glorify the Wii; I tell it like it is. Many posters here do the same.
And once again, it's not "trolling" if the posts are legitimate and well thought-out.

lets just calm down. All we're doing is showing what we think that might happen or might not happen and giving examples to back up reasons for them.
