I am sure there have been threads on Okami before but I just purchased it last week (along with Shaun White & Facebreakers. I have only played for about 3 hours of playing time but this looks to be a great game. I do prefer the style of Zelda and I have gotten use to the brush controls in a hurry.

I found Twilight Princess to be great and it was not redundant to me because I have not played anything other than the original Zelda before TP. However, I do prefer the visual style for some reason on this game and it looks like it gives TP a good run for the money.

Yep, 22 in fact simply with "okami" in the thread title. Check out the Advanced Search. It's your friend.

Weren't you complaining about how there were no games out for the Wii or no 3rd party support at all and Okami has been out on the Wii for a while now? Before complaining about what's out, I would recommend to make sure that you try some games out first(rent) so you would be playing instead of complaining because there are plenty of quality Wii games that are out already.

There is more crap out there for the Wii with third party games than any other console in history. Okami is a direct PS2 port but it still doesnt take away from the fact it is a great game but I want games written for the Wii by third party developers.

Shaun White is unbelievably easy for a snowboarding game and it is getting very good reviews. It does NOT have online. Facebusters also does not have online and is missing modes of the other consoles.

You Wii fan boys can try to spin it anyway you want but the Wii is getting the most crap of any console and publishers for the most part are just giving cheap ports to the Wii with missing features.

This is Wiichat.com which, surprisingly enough, contains some Wii fans.

No that would be the PS2. Most of the shovelware that appears on the Wii is ported from the PS2 (lots of it from Europe). I think that it is just something that goes along with being the #1 console.

Third party games are improving though, with most of the worth while games released this quarter being third party (De Blob, COD:WAW, GH:WT, Shaun White, Skate It etc).

Glad you picked up Okami even though its been out 7 months because it really is an awesome game.

No arguments. It is improving. The Wii was not a choice for me between the Wii and the Xbox360/PS3. I had been tired of my PS2 for many years and never played it anymore. I am not big into FPS and I have a good computer for those.

The Wii was a choice because Wii Sports was so much fun that I really thought developers would immediately figure out the controls and create better games. It is all about the controls.

I just never imagined that so much shovelware would be ported. The fact is that the Wii is getting a lot of cheap ports but they are improving.

Shaun White is a good example. It is not as good as it should be but the balance board support is decent. However, the game is not bad with the cartoonish graphics. It is the lack of the online play that really bothers me and the fact that made the menu system not intuitive at all. It just seems like the Wii programming is an afterthought.

Unless something has drastically changed, the Wii is still outselling the PS360 by a unbelievable margin. We should have better games by now but I am glad to find a port like Okami that is very good (but only because it was good on the PS2).

My bad. I meant to say NINTENDO FAN BOYS which seem to be the ones that defend every REAL criticism.

*looks around*

Who might that be?

Research my posts a bit. You'll find I'm very critical of Nintendo.

Or is it simply that because I don't agree with your one point, I must be some loony "fanboy" who can't accept any criticism whatsoever?
