Will there be game demos for the Wii?

If you mean, will there be demos in the future, that's entirely up the the publishers... so unless someone knows an insider, we won't know until one is released.
Sony's JAMPAK demo disks didn't seem to succeed, only costing them more money in the long run, so don't expect all the games to come out on demo.

At one point they said that you would be able to download DS demos via Wii (like using a DS download station), but I havn't heard anything about Wii games.

Was there any Gamecub magazines that came with a demo disc kind of like OXM or whatever for the XBox? If so, I will almost gurantee they will release monthly demo discs for the Wii, which would be totaly sweet.

I hope they do game demos for the wii, one of my favorite things about my xbox 360 is the ability to download a playable demo of every game that is released. It has really helped me decide what to buy and what not to buy, I have bought a couple games I never thought I would like because I dl the trial to test it out
