Yea, i was just talking to a person i have on msn. He recently got his Wii this January. And already one of his pronges in his 1st GC memory slot is crushed. Trying to get the cards name from him.

I have a question about memory for the wii. i have noticed the wii has usb ports, GC memory slots, AND a slot for an sd card. can u use any of these as extra memory. i don't know much about gaming but if i did need more then the 512mb of space can u use an sd card, GC card, or a usb jump drive?

You use SD Cards for External Wii Memory.

GC Cards are only for GC.

No External Memory for USB.

No, GC cards are for gamcube only. You can only use SD cards for all Wii files, mp3's, and photos. U cant put Wii files on anything else but the hardrive and the SD cards.

ive got i think 7 gc memory cards and ive only used the 3rd party ones in the wii so far. i saw a post on this site a couple months ago saying that the ninty one got stuck in his wii but the 3rd part one worked. wierd

Yeah, I've got a Madcatz 16x dealio.

I put it in, and it worked, but when I tried taking it out...
It was STUCK.

I had to pull hard to get it out!
Thank goodness teh slot wasn't broken... Don't know how, though.

Hey guys/gals,

FWIW, my Madcatz 16X GC card doesn't work in the Wii. It goes in & out just fine, but the Wii won't recognise it. If you lift up on it a little, the Wii will recognise it, but still has problems reading / writing / formatting it.

I did inspect the GC card ports on the Wii, and they look just fine.. contacts are all even and straight.

It seems weird, because my Madcatz 1X card works fine. Also, both cards work fine in my cube. Guess not all 16X cards are the same..
