No sound problem

Hi guys just got my Official Wii component cables today even tho not really blown away with the change i thought may have happened , anyway i have attached them to my pioneer 43" HD TV and i have a Wii Menu but i have no sound at all ive tried to see if there is an adjustment but there doesnt seen to be, normal tv has sound ans the Wii with standard cables there is sound 2 anyone help

Did you plug in the sound cables to your TV or Home theatre system?

straight into tv 3 cables for videoand the red and white for sound

Maybe you plugged the audio into a different video mode then the component.
For example say your component in is on video 1,
you may have plugged you audio into video 2.
