Just curious, what speed is the Wi-fi on the Wii, B or G?
I tried looking at my Wireless router but it doesn't say...

Check this

I did a search on google found the above actualy on this forum.

im sure also it would be a Wireless G. however if you are getting slow download speeds, change your wireless Channel on your router to 1 or 11. This is on the FAQ's on nintendo's site. I was having problems with verry slow downloads. Changed my channel to 1, and now its at a decent speed.

Slow download speeds would not indicate a G or B connection. Even an 802.11b connection runs at 11MB per second, which is faster than any DSL or cable internet connection.

Your cable connection runs at 12Mb/s (bits) or roughly 1.5MB/s (bytes). An 802.11b network runs at 11MB/s. You're confusing megabits with megabytes.
