Rumor: Rechargable Wii Remote?
Quote:
Nintendo at work on new Wiimote: Rumor
Video Games – "Japanese publication Game Lab is running an interesting rumor. According to them, Nintendo is already working on a new version of the Wiimote. Don't worry, it isn't anything that will render your current Wiimote obsolete. This version will have a better grip, and will come with a rechargeable battery."

From Netscape News
This sounds like a really good idea to me. We'll see where this goes.
Reading this, I also thought of when there are going to be releases of third party periphials. What do you guys think?

Does this import work for US remotes? I already dropped a lot of dough on rechargeable batteries, but they will die eventually.

Also coming for the UK in March (Game and Amazon are listing at the minute)

That first mock up looks good, but it should plug into the Wii via USB. Souldn't need another AC/DC adapter.
