WiFi Problem

Ok so i got my long awaited wii and got everything set up correctly. Now i've come to the WiFi bit and am a bit worried. I've got it so it regonizes my wireless but now the status bar is jammed and is not moving. It also gives me the message that i should not turn off but what should i do. My connection is obviously not working and i dont really wanna switch it off since it might mess up my wii

Woops just noticed i posted it in the wrong forums. Sorry guys slightly new to the forums

Enable security and change the settings to WEP on both the Wii and your router.

It took my wii over 30 minutes to install the first updates. It might really take that long.

I think it's weird that many ppl have these wifi problems, letteraly ALL i had to do was click: WII Wifi Setup in the settings thingy, and give it my netwerk key. Worked instantly flawlessly

Give your wii an exception on your firewall
