Question about the classic controler

I was wondering if the classic controler is wireless, or if ou have to hook it up to the wii. I have four wireless nintendo brand gamecube controlers so yah. Im a wiireless type of person. I heard you hook it up to your Wiimote?

And yes the classic controller hooks up through the wiimote so its still wireless......in a way

Yeah you plug it into the wiimote, so it is kinda wireless but it has a cord o_O
