I see some of the new DS games say that they are compatible with the WII..
Do I need some sort of cable ?? What exactly does this mean?

I think that the communication between the DS and Wii is done via wireless. Also I heard somewhere that it will be posible do download DS game demos via de Wii.

yes it done using the wireless connection.

there is nowhere to really plug in a cable on the wii from a ds..

but so far i have seen a video of a nintendo demo where a woman was controlling her pokemon on the wii, using her ds (was japanese so i dont know what they were saying), but you could see what was going on..
