Semi-Interesting

I sent my Wii in for repair last week and was checking the status online. Here are the details:

Receive Date: 04/30/2007 Status: Depot Rcvd
Ship Via:
Ship Date: Tracking #: Not Available

Component Description Notes Warranty Amount

CONSOLE ASSY WHITE RVL Yes $0.00

Notice how the Console is called 'RVL', maybe that is still referring to the old name, Revolution. I just thought it was kinda interesting that the repair facility referred to the unit as the Revolution instead of Wii.

That is quite interesting. But (I am just guessing here) they could have been referring to something else. But a nice observation nonetheless.

Dialtone75: I'm sure you are right because the WiiMote name when connected through bluetooth to the computer is "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01"

Jamie here. Yes, the RVL stands for Revolution. Just as the GC had DOL as it's code for its products and accessories. DOL refers to its old code name, Dolphin.
