Keep hold of the power button on the top of the Wii. When the lights on the Wiimote shut off you can let go and the Wii will go onto standby

Red light = Not connected to WiiConnect24
Orange Light = You are connected [Wii will go Blue if you get a message]

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback! But I think I'll just leave Wiiconnect24 off as I'm not a "business" person that has tons of messages every day or all the messages are urgent I'll get it when I get it. I just want to play safe.
