I got component cables online after getting the wii but before nintendo had released them. They made a huge difference but whenever im playing games or at the wii menu i see little missing pixels. Its really annoying on like the wii menu or in tiger woods on the grass. Basicaly anywhere there is a solid its really obvious? Has anyone else had this problem with their component cables or did i just get some bunk cables?

Yes, the Wii Component Cables have been known to cause screen tearing, particularly in the Everybody Votes Channel. Although you may have a dead pixel problem caused by the overheating of your GPU. Do you keep your Wii on WC24 standby?

Plasmas don't get dead pixels often, just discolored. And chances are it's the ATi GPU. Call Nintendo
