The Wii has a built-in 512MB of flash memory that can hold many game saves, and you can also use a separate SD memory card if you wanted to or if you began to fill up the internal memory.

can it also have a memory card or is it just saved within the wii? i'm sorry if this question has been asked a million times, but i have to say ... im a bit slow at catching up.

Well as mentioned before, u can use a SD card. You can get SD cards in different sizes. SD card is a Secure Digital card. Google for more info, ive got a 1gig one atm.

The Wii can use up to a 4GB SD card. That pretty much takes care of anything you could ever need to do on the Wii. I got mine here:
