Wii Lan Adapter??

Does anyone know if you can just use a standard USB/Ethernet adapter or does it have to be the Nintendo one? As i can't get Fifa 2008 to play online with Wifi

I have a LAN adapter but it's to short. I want to buy a wireless adapter, but the store guy said it only works for DS! Is that true?

If it has Wi-Fi then it should work with most Wi-Fi capable things.

What make and model no. was it?

If you're talking about the USB dongle (plugs into your comp's usb port, and allows for wireless play), then it works with the Wii as well as the DS.

I had to buy the nintendo brand ethernet adapter from the nintendo store, my other ethernet adapter that worked with my ps2 would not work with my wii. Hope this helps.

Yeah thanks, means i'll have to do a bit more research, how much did you pay for the nintendo one?
