i just got my wii and a 2g scandisc sd card not the one for wii but a regular one and when i put it into my wii it states that it cant be read so how do i format it to work on the wii do i need to be online to do it?

Not quite sure.
However, I do know that I put in a 64MB micro SD card (adapter to make it regular SD) and my Wii had no trouble with it. I have a 2GB SanDisk microSD card in my cellphone currently - I plan on seeing if my Wii will recognize that, since it is on sale at Staples currently.

if u need to format it... find a camera that it will work in and use the menu to find out how to format it. then it should work when its all erased.
