Hopefully this hasn't already been covered somewhere.
A few months ago I purchased a Nyko Wii remote charge station. It's worked fine until a few weeks ago when the light would occasionally become green before the remote was fully charged. That became a problem a few days ago when it got to the point that the light is always green when a remote is on the station, regardless of how much battery power it has left. I heard somewhere that when it turns the light green it also stops charging to avoid overcharging the batteries, so, while I haven't tested whether or not it's acctually charging when the light gets stuck on green, I'm just assuming that it isn't. Just wondering if anyone might know what is causing this, and how/if I can fix it. Thanks, and sorry if this belongs in a different section.

Hey, I have the same problem with the charger

I charge it, and when the light goes green I use the controller, but the Wii console says that it isnt fully charged, and it usually dies pretty fast.

Tell me if you find a solution.

Can't add any value, but posting with "ditto" to confirm/validate the problem.

usually for me if it goes green within 2 min of me putting it on, i pick it back up and place it back on until the blue light come on. some times i have to wiggle the remote around to get it to make a propper connection.

the downsides of this device:
the wrist strap gets in the way when placing on the docking station. try removing the wrist strap when placing on docking station (even though it will be a pain in the butt to do every time)
when left on for too long, the docking station some how drains the battery slowly. i've put it on and a day or two later took it off. the wii said i had 1/2 to 3/4 battery charge left.

downsides that i personally dont like:
the rubber grip on the battery cover (i just dont like it, but i can deal with it)
the batteries are quite a bit heavier

the plus side
it was like $35 for 2 batteries and a docking station. will well more pay for itself. AA batteries cant be recharged (well, standard AA batteries)

Just for some info, I had the opposite problem with my original Nyko Charge Station. That is, one side would not recognize a full charge, and remain blue.

I contacted Nyko, and they were absolutely superb with support. They had me ship the defective unit back (dock, power adapter, batteries and covers) to them in California (my cost, which wasn't much considering I'm in Canada, it was about 8 bucks). I didn't have the original packaging either, and that was not a problem. Within 2 weeks or so I had a brand new charge station. They did not even request I send in the original purchase receipt, although I keep all my electronic receipts and sent a copy anyway. My unit was about 10 months old at the time, although no mention of warranty periods were made in the responses from Nyko, just that they stand behind their products. Perhaps if you all felt your problem is a defect of the unit in some way, you could contact Nyko about it and see what they say.

Just as a thought, though I havn't really completely tested or noticed this is the case, but since the battery packs are NiMH, it could be possible that they suffer from charge memory (though this really shouldn't be an issue with good quality NiMH batteries these days). I don't typically keep my remotes in the dock. I only put them in when the battery meter gets down to one bar or I get a warning of low battery. You can usually fix charge memory problems by completely draining the battery then charging it back up (known as cycling). To do this with the Nyko packs, just keep using the remote until the battery is completely drained.

Hope this info helps.
