Hi.

I have only tried one player games so far on the Gamecube mode of the Wii.

A friend lent me all of the Resident Evils to play through, in addition to a controller.

I cannot get any of the ports to acknowledge the controller, other than the one labeled with one dot (port 1, far right).

Whenever I plug into any of the other ports, it does not acknowledge the controller commands.

Are you supposed to be able to plug into any of the Gamecube controller ports for one player games?

What about other games?

My warranty will soon expire, and I need help on whether or not this is a system problem that needs to be repaired.

Any help is vastly appreciated.

That's exactly how it's supposed to work.

That port is marked as port one because that's where you plug the player-one controller into. The other ports are for players 2-4.

Port one is the one closest to the disc drive.

It acts like a GC when a GC game is played so the pad will only work in the player one port
