Hi all

Brand new member here! :-)

I am lucky enough to have a 30" Apple Cinema Display. I would like to connect my Wii but I'm not sure how to do it.

Possible issues?:
the display is DVI. I understand there are Wii -> VGA transcoders. How do I then make it work on a DVI monitor?

also, the native resolution of the disply is high: 2560 x 1600 pixels
It also supports
2048 x 1280
1920 x 1200
1280 x 800
1024 x 640

If I buy a Wii -> VGA transcoder, and then a VGA -> DVI adapter, will it work?
Will the image quality be really downgraded?
Anyone done this?

Many thanks for any help!

Heres something but I am not sure if it works in either direction and if your monitor would support it:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814999903
This would also require that you buy a component Wii cable.

Also if you are stuck with the solution you described, I believe a simple VGA>DVI plug converter will suffice, but I can't comment on video quality.

EDIT: Here happens to be a past thread about your such situation:

Hi Kyle

Thanks for your reply but it looks like it won't work.
One of the comments from newegg says:
Only work on windows Doesn't work in reverse

Any other thoughts appreciated.
