Bought the Japanese version Wii Fit, but my US version Wii didn't recognise the Balance Board. How to fix it?

I think thats because Japan and US use different systems.

Japan is PAL and US is NTSC I think. Not sure though

Japan is NTSC...And controllers are region-free anyway.

I am guessing either something's up with the board specifically, or perhaps the periph is a bit more complicated in its regions. IE: needing a small firmware update or something.

I am able to use the Balance Board. I enabled the Region Setting to "On" for my Wiikey. I use the Japanese Disc which is able to connect the Balance Board.
