Can someone pls detail all the ways the SD card can be utilised in the Wii?

So far the best I can see is that game data and channels can be stored on there with the catch being that all data is by default stored in the Wii memory and must be manually moved to the SD card through wii settings.

Default store to sd card would be nice as its has far more storage depending on the card you use.

I have a 2GB card and feel its being under utilized, and continually moving the data to there manually is a pain.

So
q1: how do you default storage to the sd card or can that be done at all?
q2: What other uses can you utilize the sd card for?

1 you cant set the sd card as default
2 mainly you use it to store photos and music, and also transferring a save to take to a friends house or something like that
(btw, you can't transfer channels to the memory card)

I wish they made a raid or partition software so that you could use the SD card capacity as an expansion to the Wii system storage.

there probably is something out there to do that (there are mod chips that let you play dvd movies) but you would risk ruining your wii

I was wondering the same thing. When I picked up my Wii they were selling 2gb SD cards for $11 so I picked one up, but it's still in the box and I'm not sure what to do with it!
