Is the (+) button on the Wiimote supposed to be so sensitive?

If I just place my thumb on the (+) button of my Wiimote it registers a button press...the (-) button actually requires me to press down to register itself...is this how it is supposed to work? The reason it's a problem is the kids are constantly activating it by accident by where their fingers rest on it...

Maybe your thumb has broken it in? Either that or it really weighs like 10 pounds.

Your case is weird my friend, only thing I can say is stop resting your thumb there or buy a new Wiimote.

Mine is only 2 weeks old so I definitely haven't broken it in...I'll get a replacement then (right after I try whacking it )

Sometimes it doesn't take much for me to push my (+) or (-) buttons either.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if it does bug you or your children just buy another remote for them to play with and keep the old one for yourself or something.
