Totally confused

I just have not been able to figure out how to connect everything. So, here's the challenge:

Connect the following for maximum Wii performance:

Wii
HDTV - Vizio GV47L
DVR cable box - Motorola DCH6416
Samsung DVD home theater system - HT-WX70

I've got the Wii component cable (and all sorts of other stuff). I'd just like to configure it so that the sound is coming out of the speakers and the games that can be played in HD will.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand that. I understand the HD feature on the Wii is not the full HD mode - only 480p mode.

Any suggestions as to how to connect it all anyway? My 8 year old really wants me to figure this out and I've tried everything I know how (I'm not totally electronically inadequate).

Any suggestions?
